The Bridging the Gap Symposia promote community linkages between Johns Hopkins researchers with HIV focused NGOs, the Baltimore City Health Department, and people affected with HIV/AIDS through the creation of forums to exchange data, information, and resources. The Bridging the Gap Symposia are led by the Community Participatory Advisory Board of the CFAR and co-sponsored by the AIDS Education Training Center and the Baltimore City Health Department.
