HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Skills Building Workshop for Providers and Administrators

May 04, 2015

  • Location: 525 N Wolfe Street, Baltimore, MD
  • Time: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

The State of Maryland ranks third in new HIV cases.  New HIV prevention data demonstrate that Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) can dramatically reduce HIV infection and current CDC guidelines recommend PrEP for key populations – yet only 4 clinics in the city presently offer this prevention therapy. The Johns Hopkins AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC), a trusted partner of HIV education throughout Maryland, has received a grant to increase PrEP implementation in Baltimore City and throughout the State of Maryland.

We invited to attend the First Annual HIV Prevention Skills Building Workshop on May 4, 2015 from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

The day-long workshop will include a state of the science review of PrEP; PrEP Treatment Guidelines; how to access patient assistance programs; clinical case scenarios and much more.   Faculty from Johns Hopkins, Chase Brexton, and Baltimore City Health Department will facilitate.   The program is designed for both clinicians and administrators to help your clinic become PrEP Ready and stop HIV in our state!

Registration for the meeting is required -- seating is limited. I have attached the link for your convenience.  Please see the attached flyer or call the AETC for additional information.
