SUMMARY:BEM Core Epidemiology/Biostatistics Office Hours (HIV)
DESCRIPTION:The Biostatistics and Epidemiology Methodology (BEM) Core offers monthly\, virtual office hours. Office hours are intended to provide space and time for earlier engagement in the study design and analysis process. The next session will be held on March 4\, 2026\, from 2-3 pm ET (register by February 26\, 2026). \nWho? \nAnyone working in HIV research at JHU (students\, faculty\, staff\, trainees\, etc.) \nWhat?\n20-minute timeslot with a BEM Core faculty member for epidemiology and biostatistics questions related to: \n▶  Research study design and analysis plans \n▶  Protocol development \n▶  Sample size calculations \n▶  Statistical analysis and interpretation \n▶  Manuscript preparation and writing \nOffice hours are meant to help with questions that can be addressed in 20-minutes or less. For more in depth questions and consultation needs\, please submit a formal CFAR Service Request Form. \nCost? \nFree of charge \nWhen and where? \nOnce per month for one hour (three 20-minute timeslots) via Zoom \nHow? \n\nSign up at least one week in advance to reserve your 20-minute timeslot\nReceive a calendar invite with Zoom login information\nJoin the meeting at your designated time\n\nWhile not required\, participants are encouraged to submit questions and supportive materials (e.g.\, study aims) to ewentz1@jhu.edu at least 3 days in advance to allow for more targeted discussions. \nTo reserve your 20-minute timeslot for March 5th\, please use the registration link. \nREGISTER
