Awardee

Janet Otachi, PhD, MSW, CSW, MA, is an Assistant Professor at the Kent School of Social Work and Family Science at the University of Louisville. She has extensive experience in public health social work, focusing on individuals disproportionately affected by substance use, as well as comorbid physical and mental illnesses. Her research centers on HIV and violence prevention, and she aims to enhance evidence-based, trauma-informed, and tailored interventions for substance use and mental health issues.
