OVERVIEW

Mission

The Inter-CFAR Nurse Scientist Leadership Working Group is a network of nurses and nurse scientists dedicated to promoting innovative nurse-led HIV science. We aim to promote nurse scientist leadership and scientific collaborations across CFARs. 

Objectives

  • Enhance nursing science in HIV prevention, care, and cure research 
  • Increase inter-CFAR collaboration among nurse scientists and HIV research teams 
  • Increase the number of nurse scientists leading HIV research 
  • Increase the presence of nurse scientists leading on CFAR Executive teams 
  • Disseminate cutting-edge HIV research to the broader HIV clinical and scientific workforce including nurse scientists, clinicians, and educators 
  • Network and mentor early-career nurse scientists
