In 2016, the CFAR MACC founded a Latinx Working Group (Latinx MACC), acknowledging the need to
expand their focus to include the growth of the HIV epidemic among Latinx in the mid-Atlantic region.
The Latinx MACC mission is to bring together community, government, and academic partners
who are dedicated to working collaboratively on shared concerns regarding the HIV epidemic among
Latinx in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.
