Inter-CFAR Working Group on Nursing HIV Research

Mission

The Inter-CFAR Working Group on Nursing HIV Research is a network of nurses and nurse scientists dedicated to promoting innovative nurse-led HIV science. We aim to promote nurse leadership and scientific collaborations across CFARs.

 

Objectives

  • Enhance nursing science in HIV prevention, care, and cure research
  • Increase inter-CFAR collaboration among nurse scientists and interprofessional teams in HIV research
  • Increase the number of nurse scientists leading HIV research
  • Increase the presence of nurses on CFAR Executive Leadership positions
  • Disseminate cutting-edge HIV research to the broader HIV clinical and scientific workforce including nurse scientists, clinicians, and educators (ANAC conference presence, pre-conference workshops, ANAC involvement toolkit for CFARs)
  • Networking and mentoring early career nurse researchers developing programs of research focused on HIV
