From U.S. News and World Report:
"But we can only save these lives and prevent this suffering if we continue to treat HIV and AIDS with the urgency that it demands. Complacency must not set in for a disease that in 2014 infected over 2 million people and killed more than 1 million. We need a renewed worldwide commitment to funding anti-AIDS efforts and to eliminating bigotry that even today fuels the epidemic. If we do not seize this moment, the virus could surge back – and millions more will die."
From CNN:
"In many ways, this is the most hopeful World AIDS Day we have seen in the 35-year history of the scourge that we know as HIV/AIDS. Yet, it is also one of the most challenging, in terms of the work we still have to do to translate scientific progress into more saved lives, fewer new infections and ultimately an end to the AIDS pandemic."
