Confronting Gender-based Violence: Global Lessons with Case Studies from India

Confronting Gender-based Violence: Global Lessons with Case Studies from India is a free Massive, Open, Online course (MOOC) that will run from September 7 through October 17, and registration is now open. The MOOC is offered through Coursera, and is available here: https://www.coursera.org/course/gbv It’s designed specifically for global health workers who care for survivors of gender-based violence.

The course is designed for social workers, physicians, nurses, midwives, community health workers, counselors and other health care workers to help them assess, treat, and manage patients who are survivors of gender based violence. The material is also relevant for public health practitioners, policymakers, and researchers who want to better address GBV in their patient and client populations and to understand more about GBV and its health impact.
