Wil is a Generation Tomorrow peer community health worker with a field placement at Sisters Together and Reaching (STAR). Born and raised in Baltimore, Wil has worked as an outreach worker and risk reduction counselor for a number of local agencies including H.E.R.O., Light Health & Wellness Comprehensive Services, Inc., Out Front (AIDS Action Baltimore), and STAR. He has certificates in phlebotomy and medical terminology and worked as a specimen technician for the Bon Secours Baltimore Health System in the New Hope Treatment Center, a methadone clinic. He has also worked as support staff in the Emergency Department at the University of Maryland Hospital. Previously, he was an HIV HOWPA Surveyor for the greater Baltimore metropolitan area.
Wil sees Generation Tomorrow as a programmatic commitment to improve the quality of life for others through education, health screenings and open conversation.
