Fred is a Generation Tomorrow peer community health worker with a field placement at Sisters Together and Reaching (STAR). Born and raised in East Baltimore, Fred has been living with HIV for 22 years and HCV for 20 years. He spent 18 years in the Maryland State Division of Correction where he started HIV/AIDS Support Groups in every prison starting with the women's facility in 1995.
Of his experience in the Generation Tomorrow program, Fred says, “Generation Tomorrow to me means that HIV/AIDS Peer Education and Treatment Prevention has finally jumped generational boundaries, thus filling a gap which will allow newer, fresher ideas to blossom and be put into action, along with the older more conventional methods.”
